Merlot

Planted all over the world, Merlot's origins are in the Right Bank of Bordeaux and appellations such as St. Emilion and Pomerol. Prized for its soft, fruity character, it is often blended with the more structured Cabernet Sauvignon. With its velvety tannins and ripe plum flavours, it can also be sublime on its own.
