Additional Information

Veuve Clicquot Magnum is a 1.5 litre bottle, which is equivalent to 2 standard size (75cl) bottles. Golden-yellow, with a foaming necklace of tiny bubbles. Fine balance between the fruity aromas coming from the grape varieties and the toasty aromas following the ageing in the bottle. The first sip delivers all the freshness and forcefulness so typical of Yellow Label with a symphony of fruit tastes following on.

A Champagne House is eventually judged on the quality of its Brut Non Vintage. It is in the making of such a wine that the true Art of Champagne blending reveals itself. This is an art in which the House of Veuve Clicquot excels. The Brut Yellow Label reflects the superb vineyards we own and the consistent nature of the House style. The predominance of Pinot Noir provides the structure that is so typically Clicquot, while a touch of Pinot Meunier rounds out the blend. Chardonnay adds the elegance and finesse essential in a perfectly balanced wine.

The history of Veuve Clicquot-

Madame Clicquot was born in Reims in 1777. As the daughter of Baron Nicolas Ponsardin, her social standing allowed her to receive an excellent education, founded upon the traditional morals and values of the time.

The modern day Maison of Veuve Clicquot possesses one of the finest champagne vineyards, both in terms of its size and the quality of its vines. Its 390 hectares are divided between 12 of the 17 Grands Crus, and between 20 of the 44 Premiers Crus that constitute the entire Champagne region.

This exceptional heritage was built up over the centuries, founded upon the parcels first established by the founder, and added to by subsequent vineyard directors.
In particular, Veuve Clicquot bears the fortuitous territorial mark of Madame Clicquot.

Facts about Veuve Clicquot Champagne:

  • 60% of the parcels cultivated by Veuve Clicquot are managed without herbicide.
