Additional Information
The Vacqueyras Chateau Montmirail 75cl is brilliant purple in aspect, with prominent aromas of red fruits, with some notes of earth and cinnamon spice. On the palate, full bodied and fruit driven, with underlying elements of cloves and dark berries. Pair with red meat, cheeses and game.
Vacqueyras lies in the Southern part of the Rhone Valley, not too far from the famous Chateauneuf du Pape and winemaker, Gabriel Archimbaud, whose passion was the vineyard and wine, was the first bottler in Vacqueyras of Chateau Montmirail, who organised the production and commercilisation of the project, and was then succeeded by his son Maurice. Today, the grandson of Maurice, Philippe, continues the family legacy of making wines which fully express the terroir of the region, and the qualities of the native grape varieties of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre.
