Additional Information
Certified Organic, handpicked and sorted in the vineyard whole bunch fermentation then transferred to French Barriques for 11 months of maturation. Wild red berries, dried herbs with a lift of spiced aromatics. This wine is for the Pinot Noir lover; it encapsulates what New World should be; a nod to the old with a focus on the future.
Two Paddocks started in 1993 with a single purpose. To produce great Pinot Noir, that would, at least the very least to be enjoyed by family and friends. Now Two Paddocks stretches out over 3 valleys throughout Central Otago only making Pinot Noir and a small amount of Riesling.
The Last Chance comes from the picturesque Earnscleugh where terraced vines overlook the Clutha River. The vineyards were purchased in 1998 which instantly became used for the production of Pinot Noir; the name refers to the manmade river that runs through the vineyard created by the gold miners in the 1860s.
