History of Pierre Martin
Domaine Pierre Martin is situated in the heart of Sancerre appellation in the samall village of Chavignol which is very well known for its goatcheese "crottin de chavignol". Pierre Martin has taken over the 17 hectares estate ten years ago. He is following his forefathers footsteps, working traditionnally on the world wine known terroirs of Cul de Beaujeu and Les Monts Damnés.
Pierre Martin is the 4th generation to take charge of the family legacy, assuming control from his father in 2004. Yves (who is in semi-retirement) is still active, but this is very much Pierre’s show now.
