Additional Information
Hailing from one of the region’s best producers, this is a Barolo in everything but name. The expressive nose of spiced dark fruits and tart cherry tell only part of the story. The palate has depth and complexity; the tannins are moderate but well balanced by rich berry fruits, some matured fruits and hints of spice. This wine may not bear the name Barolo, but it sure bears all the character of one!
About the vineyard-
The grapes are sourced from a single vineyard in the Roddi municipality, just outside the Barolo appellation, at 200 metres of altitude. The soils are composed of clay and limestone marls. The climate is moderate continental, with an average rainfall of around 700 mm each year.
