And the winery of the month is, Vinteloper!

At Corks Out we love quirky little wine companies; we find their labour of love is displayed as soon as the bottle is opened. This is significantly apparent with Vinteloper Wines.

wine of the month

Up in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia is where the magic happens. Vinteloper, a family business set up by David and Sharon Bowley with an aim to produce wines of the highest quality that will leave you asking why you would drink anything else!

Although David’s wife, Sharon prefers to stay out of the limelight she lovingly hand draws each label, giving the brand an artistic and contemporary touch.

Reigning supreme at the Norton Summit of the Adelaide Hills each grape is grown to show the energy and power the brand so actively promotes. Warning -These are not your average South Australian wines, so without further ado, let’s check them out…vinte 1 pic

The grapes are traditionally crushed by hand and foot in this Pinot Noir, a style that is not often used by winemakers these days. Smooth as they come, you will taste fresh cherry, plumb and berry making it easily approachable.

Vinteloper Touriga Nacional

The Touriga Nacional grapes from this Vinteloper wine are grown on 22 year old vines. Matured in 50% American and 50% French Oak for 15 months until it is bottled. Harvested relatively early the aim is a
contemporary, complex flavoured, yet medium bodied style.
