6 wines to drink this Easter Bank Holiday weekend!

Easter is a wonderful time of year, the trees are starting to blossom after a long winter, the wine at easterbirds are singing and we’re gloriously blessed with a few more hours of light in the evening.

Let’s face it though the reason we love Easter so much is not because of the weather or those lovely chocolate eggs, it’s the 4 day weekend most of us will be enjoying.

Check out our top 6 list of drinks we think you should enjoy this Bank Holiday weekend.

1. Chocolate Block- Don’t spend your weekend eating all of the kids Easter Eggs, get your own
special kind of Chocolate. The Boekenhoutskloof wine is one of the most iconic red wines to come out of South Africa and when you taste it you’ll know why!

2. Case Deals- Not a wine as such but definitely deserves to be a top contender on our list. 4 days of work free bliss should be celebrated with family and friends in the best way possible, toasting in the glorious sunshine (hopefully). We’ve just added mixed, red, white, 12 bottle and 6 bottle case deals to our website offering quality wines at attractive prices.

3. New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc- A glorious summer wine, celebrate the start of spring with a popular Cloudy Bay Sauvignon or Two Rivers wine. There’s a reason why New Zealand is one of the top wine growing regions in the world.

4. Pol Roger Brut Champagne- Our most popular Champagne this month. This Champagne is perfect for when you would like to entertain without breaking the bank, incredible value for money.

5. Rioja- If your diet over the Easter break is based solely on chocolate then this is the wine for you. Always a great all-rounder, pick a great juicy Rioja, such as Vina Alberdi Reserva Rioja.

6. Lustau PX sherry- known to be one of the great Sherries, this dark luscious flavour will suit with almost any desserts and especially good when poured over ice cream if you want a break from the Easter eggs.
