Made in ultra small quantities, of only 400 bottles, this sparkling champagne-style cider is fermented in bottle for three years before release. Delightfully fresh and elegant, this ‘champagne’ style will compliment meaty white fish dishes, and pork.
About Wrenbury Cider
Wrenbury have been making cider for many years, traditionally in small quantities. After feedback from family and friends, they started making cider in larger amounts in 2007. Most of the fruit used comes from a small orchard in Cheshire, planted with seven different varieties of cider making fruit. These are Kingston Black, Browns, Harry Masters, Sweet Coppin, Foxwhelp, Dabinett and Yarlington Mill. As far as is known, this is a unique selection of fruits in a single orchard. Each year Wrenbury Cider becomes more self sufficient, and within two years time it os expected that the cider will be made soley with Cheshire apples. Since 2007 Wrenbury have won three awards at major cider competition trials. The aim is to produce ciders that are an alternative to wine and champagne and which will compliment a variety of dishes.
