Tasting notes:
Bright straw with golden/green hues, an abundance of ripe tropical fruit is overlaid with exotic gooseberry and attractive herbal pungency. The palate displays great concentration yet with a stylish elegance to the fresh, balanced and persistent flavours with a long mineral finish.
Harvest & Winemaker’s notes:
A convergence of flavours from four separate vineyards located on the banks of the Wairau and Awatere rivers. Harvested at optimum ripeness, the grapes were
gently pressed and fermented, at cool temperatures, in stainless steel to maximise fruit purity and character. A percentage of the wine was aged on natural yeast lees in French barrels for 3 months, adding texture, complexity and increased mouthfeel to the palate.
