The Pol Roger Blanc de Blancs 2000  is an excellent of the least expensive of Pol Roger's vintage cuvees, made with 100% Chardonnay grape. The Blanc de Blancs is always delicious early on, but holding well for up to 20 years for good vintages. Clear gold in aspect with greenish hints, fine beaded and with steady mousse. The nose is dominated by ripe and stewed fruits, with aromas of lemon, quince, apricot, peach and rich brioche. On the palate, notes of violet and aniseed compliment the rich fruit character, with a long, elegant finish.

It complements lobster, shellfish and fresh water fish.
