Dense purple in aspect, with prominent aromas of dark fruit, chocolate, tobacco and vanilla, giving way to a weighty, concentrated palate of dark cherry, coffee, blackcurrant and some pepper spice, with good acidity and chewy tannins. Serve with red meats, game and cured cheeses.
