The super-traditional port house of Niepoort take Late Bottled Vintage very seriously, which probably accounts for the countless plaudits it receives. Old vines, grapes hand harvested and foot trodden, fermented only with natural / local yeasts, and open fermented in granite troughs, before, ultimately unfiltered bottling. A dark, brooding, port, full of character.
