Rich and round on the palate, with flavours of toasted bread, cream, mature yellow fruit, figs and honey, with a long, mineral driven finish and fresh acidity. Serve with pork, poultry and seafood.
In 1978, Josep Maria Albet i Noya became the first winemaker in Spain to adopt organic practices in the vineyard, eliminating the use of chemical and synthetic insecticides and pesticides. Returning to more traditional methods, the balance of the vines is maintained using only permitted green, organic and composted fertilisers, resulting in healthy grapes of ‘true’ character. Mas Igneus is one of the youngest cellars in the extremely tough wine-growing region of Priorat and is a joint venture with Albet i Noya, producing premium quality wines.
