Aromas of ripe black fruit and olives precede a dense palate with layers of cherry, fruitcake, and hints of chocolate on a lengthy, tannic finish.

Coonawarra is famous for its affinity with Cabernet Sauvignon, producing elegant wines that are a world away from the turbo-charged styles of the Barossa. The wines of Majella are amongst this region's finest. So much so the great Australian fine wine auction house, Langton's, have classified this wine as 'distinguished' (ie a 3rd Cru) in their attempt to produce an 1855 ranking of the country's all time great wines.
