Jefferson’s Bourbons’

Trey Zoeller, founder of McLain & Kyne Ltd, and his father, Chet, carry on the tradition of their ancestors who were deeply rooted in the bourbon industry. Hand Crafted in “very small batches”  similar to how bourbons were produced prior to prohibition, the Jefferson’s Collection of bourbons truly epitomise the spirit of America
Thomas Jefferson was the American President who was instrumental in American Independence in 1783. The very one who is accredited with writing the Declaration of Independence, the founder of Virginia University and the force behind the Great Empire of Liberty, the very Thomas Jefferson who repealed the tax on whiskey which caused the famous rebellion of 1791 which turned Americans from Rye to Bourbon.

Jefferson’s proudly takes this name from this third American president as they are complex, elegant and full of sophistication  just as he was. Aesthetically very pleasing with soft elegant but eye-catching presentation, each with their own handcrafted wooden stopper and unique imagery. Each bottle is hand numbered adding to its authenticity as a very small batch bourbon.

An original American whiskey – the spirit of independence itself, The Jefferson’s and Jefferson’s Reserve are made from a mash bill containing 30% rye grain.
These McLain & Kyne discerning drinkers have several years of experience in the Bourbon trade and have created the term ‘very small batch’. This is where just 8-12 barrels are blended for maximum taste and originality in two marques:

Jefferson’s Reserve – The 12-17yr old has allowed many years to slowly and naturally reach maturity. The result is Bourbon with a richer bouquet, colour and flavour as well as a softer and more rounded flavour. Bottled at 45.1% abv this will satisfy the robust taste of the traditional Bourbon connoisseur. This has a more oily finish but starts with golden tones of ginger snaps, honey and melted butter.

America

Nuff said. The Jeffersons reserve really lives up to it's name as 'the cognac of bourbons'.
