Deep gold in aspect, with a bouquet of honey, citrus and a slight nuttiness. On the palate, white peach, lemon, cream, vanilla and subtle spice, with a long, exotic finish. Serve with smoked salmon, roast chicken, creamy pasta and stir fry.

Franschhoek Cellar was founded in 1945 by a group of local grape farmers to vinify their grapes on a co-operative basis.

In recent years, Franschhoek Vineyards has shed the old co-op image and is currently operating as a private winery; this new image has initiated a drive to produce quality wines at affordable prices. The excellence of the wines produced has improved significantly over the past three years.
