Steeped in heritage, the Old Redemption's pedigree is truly great! Aussie legend, Peter Lehmann began the blend in 1947, gradually adding reserves of Shiraz, Dolcetto and Tokay over the years. This then formed the base for the awesome old Tawnies, Alameda Show and Mr Pickwick. In the 1980's Peter created a new blend, the Old Redemption from these astonishing old reserves, which he left tucked away in barrels to gain even more complexity. His son, David Franz, discovered Peter's side project a few years ago and after just one sip he knew they were ready for release.
