Goes well with seafood, salads, poultry or even paella.
The Buil and Giné family returned to make wine in Priorat in 1996, having spent sometime in the food retail sector. Both the grand parents and great grand parents of the current generation of winemakers had been involved in the wine industry in one capacity or another. Located on the Scala Dei mountain, just outside the commercial centre of Priorat, Gratallops, the first vintage of Joan Gine Gine (named for the grandfather of the current winemaker Joan Ramón Pallejá) was presented to great acclaim in 1997. Since then, the Bodega has expanded their portfolio, and are now recognised as a major producer of modern, quality Priorat wine.
