Intense cherry red with ruby reflections. In its aromatic complexity the nose is uniquely 'Unico,' showing notes of macerated fruit, compote, eucalypus and menthol characteristic of the Vega Sicilia terroir. The palate is powerful, opulent and aggressive, with an aromatically persistant finish reflecting the flavors of the nose.
Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Unico seems more developed aromatically than the 1995 with elements of coffee and mocha but not quite the richness of fruit of the 1995.
