Alix de Montille personifies passion, a wine maker that makes you look even harder for quality and authenticity. With her brother Etienne they have created a small prestige négociant house that sets the benchmark of what is possible when impeccable vineyard management and miniscule quantities meets meticulous obsession. Not surprisingly, their father is Hubert de Montille of the famed Domaine de Montille who has carved the way for the greatest of Volnays and Pommards of the Côte de Beaune. The wines have an openness in youth that makes them almost irresistible, but evolve and add further weight and complexity over time.
Lemon gold in aspect, with concentrated aromas of tropical fruit, minerals, earth and apple, leading onto a palate of peach, cream and pear, with some notes of smoky earth, minerality, and well integrated oak. Pair with seafood, chicken and shellfish.
