The winner of the Best Japanese Blended Whisky category at The World Whiskies Awards 2007, this is big-boned and bursting with character. Not averse to a drop of water, either. A real star.
This blend is elaborated with grain and malt from Miyagikyo and malt from Yoichi Distillery. Nikka from the barrel is matured in first-fill bourbon casks and is a perfect balance of the Japanese whisky styles. A Golden colour with a floral, fruity and spicy nose, it is big on the palate with spicy oak developing into caramelised fruit. The finish is long with fruit flavours combined with soft oaky vanilla notes.
