John and Jennifer Joslin founded Mud House in the late 1990s. After making money from business in the UK and Belgium, they had spent 6 years touring the world in their yacht. Then they discovered New Zealand and decided that making wine was the thing for them. Their Marlborough winery has grown to 50 000 cases annually, and the wines are up there with the best from the region:
The merlot has a supple herby edge to the red fruits nose. Fresh sappy fruit on the palate with a bit of greenness. Nice stuff in a light style.
