Shown recently at a Corks Out Californian wine club tasting - I don't think anyone would disagree with me that it this wine was absolutely outstanding and I must say, one of the best Merlot's I have ever tasted!! It's one of those wines that make you say 'now that's why I paid what I did for this wine!
Rich and round, with ripe plum, cooked cherries and chocolate flavours, with a lingering finish.
Food Match - A wine that is just crying out for a big juicy piece of roast lamb, sweet roast potatoes and fresh, home made mint sauce. For all you Veggies out there, make it a roasted vegetable lasagna, roast your veggies first to caramelise and don't spare the cheese topping. The sweet flavours of both dishes, marry perfectly with the juicy berry characters in the wine - Now my mouth is watering!
