Disznoko means ‘the rock of the wild boar’, and this distinctive rock is to be found at the foot of the white pavilion overlooking the vineyards. The Estate was classified as a first growth in 1734 (when you could do that sort of thing by royal decree). Today it spreads over 150 hectares in a beautiful setting at the southern approaches of the Tokaj wine region. Since 1992, the former splendid past of the Tokaj wines has been revived on the Disznoko Estate under the ownership of the French AXA-Millésimes Group (also owner of Châteaux Pichon-Longueville and Suduiraut).
