This Cabernet Sauvignon shows characters of dark plum and black cherry giving it good fruit weight while cedar and spice balance the richness of the fruit. Vanilla notes liven the wine. We have blended a small amount of Petit Verdot, a traditional partner of Cabernet, to add berry and violet to the aroma and flavour. This has also provided a grainy tannin quality which adds textural interest while it lingers from medium to long length on the palate. The Commissioners Block Cabernet Sauvignon is a full flavoured red with good cellar potential.
