This delightful Champagne from a family run Champagne house that have been growers in the village of Merfy for more than 300 years. The brut was recently voted best non-branded Champagne and their Rosé joint first with Dom Perignon. We all pay a little extra for the marketing of a brand name and this Champagne shows exceptional value for money when tasted against the larger houses. The appearance is yellow with green tinges and very fine bubbles, typical of quality Champagne. The bouquet is quite intense with aromas of peach and apple. The palate is slightly off dry and not as acidic as some Champagne, fresh with persistent fruit character and good length. Ideal as an aperitif or with seafood, ‘pate en croute’ or terrines.

"An expressive, light to medium-bodied Champagne, its lengthy character well balanced and on the dry side, with a firm structure and a long, mineral and vanilla tinged finish.   Drink now through 2010"  Pierre Rovani - 90 points (Wine Advocate).
