The wine has a fine, dark red colour with a violet tint. The nose, both floral and full of fruit (plum, morello cherry, wild peach, fresh fig), has a slightly mineral, flinty cast. On the palate, a round, well-balanced structure on forward tannins, already mature and well-integrated, mingles with red fruit flavours (redcurrant, blackcurrant, bilberry), liquorice, spice (nutmeg, cinnamon) and a lovely touch of vanilla. The long, lingering finish, displaying a fine harmony between oak and fruit, bodes well for a first-rate vintage.
