Spanish Gourmet Dinner @ The Sticky Walnut Chester

Corks Out are hosting a gourmet dinner at the Sticky Walnut Chester, which has recently been crowned best restaurant at the Chester Food & Drink awards. The night will celebrate Spanish wine with Charlotte Cotterill of renowned importers Fields, Morris & Verdin showcasing the diversity and quality Spain has to offer. 

Following the overwhelming success of last years sherry tasting, we’ll look at a few of Jerez’s finest before indulging in the craft of Alvaro Palacios. One of Spain’s foremost winemakers, Alvaro put the overlooked regions of Priorat and Bierzo back into the spotlight before returning to Rioja and breathing fresh life into his family’s already renowned winery. 

 Since opening in January 2010, The Sticky Walnut has experienced a meteoric rise in popularity, climbing from hidden gem to sitting proudly at No.1 on Trip Advisor. Head chef, Gary Usher has prepared a superb five course dinner that perfectly complements the wines being shown.

Corks Out host a number of gourmet dinners throughout the year...  Often they are themed on a wine producing country, grape variety or producer.  We have in the past been fortunate to have many winemaker and producers from around the world come along to talk about their wines. 

In May 2011 our Portuguese Gourmet Dinner at Tom 101 was a amazing with wine expert Danny Cameron take us through the delights of this underrated country.Six delightful Portuguese wines served with an exquisite four course menu, which highlighted local dishes.

We have had the famous winemaker Enrique Tirado... who had travelled from Chile to come along and chat about his Don Melchor and Almaviva wines, there was a vertical tasting of Don Melchor and then a wonderful 5 course dinner with wines to match.
