Corks Out was founded in 2003 by Ruth Yates, her many years wine buying and true love for wine led expansion to 5 stores and an informative website. Each member of the Corks Out team plays a vital role in making the business work and they are truly dedicated to customer satisfaction with wine and spirit knowledge that goes far beyond passion. 

One of Corks Out’s many areas of expertise is menu matching. This was featured on Channel 4’s ‘’Come Dine with Me’’ where Ruth was asked to select wines for a special dinner party. The whole team offers advice on a variety of wines to suit many a dish and the eclectic range of over 2500 wines and spirits means there is something for everyone, whether it’s Friday night on the sofa or a special wedding day menu.

Over the years Corks Out has received 24 awards and accolades for their customer service, team knowledge and point of difference in wine. Regular wine tastings, events and gourmet dinners are informal, yet informative and it has always been Ruth’s aim to demystify wine and help customers to simply find out a little more about what’s in their glass.

Now with their very own tasting machines (some would say ‘The Wine Juke Box’) tasting wine is made fun and helps you to try something you wouldn’t normally pick up off the shelf.  With relaxed seating you can now enjoy a glass of wine in store, but this isn’t your average wine bar, where else can you sip on a glass of fine Bordeaux at retail price.
