Exciting changes at Stockton Heath & Timperley!
As you may know Alderley Edge received its licence to sell alcohol on the premises in June, which has created a new experience in wine tasting. We are very pleased to announce that both Stockton Heath and Timperley have also received their licence to sell on premise. Therefore, soon to come in August we will be able to offer our 
customers the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine on the premises or just outside in the sun (when we get it). So, what’s the difference in terms of having a glass of wine in a bar I can hear you asking! Well, this won’t be a bar affair in lots of ways, here we will have a menu of six to eight different wines each fortnight from a themed list of specialist products, wines that have a point of difference, enhancing your knowledge of all those wines you were never sure about. There will be one or two familiar ones but the idea is to help you try out something different in terms of grape variety, country or region, something you thought you would like to taste but never really wanted to buy a bottle in case you didn’t like it.
Glasses of wine will only ever be 175ml or 125ml and you can also choose a bottle of wine from a selected range on our shelf and pay just £3.50 corkage to sit and drink with friends and find out a little information from our knowledgeable team. We also won’t open bar hours, we are still very retail, just different!
To complement this, we hope to include a new tasting machine that will hold a number of quality wines for you to sample through a tasting card. Therefore, if you have ever wanted to taste some of the top or fine icon wines, well now you will be able to.
This is to be ‘A New Wine Adventure’ called ‘Taste’ where you can find out more about what’s in your glass and experiment a little!
