For each wine listed in our online shop you will notice a Taste Guide.
For white wines it is a sweetness scale on a level of 1-9, 1 being the driest and 9 being the sweetest. For red wines the body and fullness of the wine is shown on a scale of A-E, A being the lightest and E being the fullest in body.The Taste Guide is not a definitive scale but is a term used in conjunction with the Wine Development Board and is used as a unified guide throughout the Wine Trade.
The Taste Guide can vary according to customers’ tastes and palate and also the food with which the wine may be served.
