Tempranillo Wine

Tempranillo is a quality red grape that is principally found in Spain. Known as Tinto Fino in Ribera del Duero, Cencibel in Mancha, and Ull de Llebre in Catelonia, its spiritual home is in Rioja and Navarra. Wines made from the Tempranillo grape tend to be spicy with tobacco, strawberry and red cherry tones. It produces vibrant wines that are great when drunk young, but when aged in oak becomes rich, powerful and fruit laden. It is ideally suited then to the production of fine Rioja, where is it works wonderfully well when aged in French or American oak barrels.
