Barolo

Barolo is Piedmont's most famous wine DOCG, residing south of the Alba. It is renowned for producing fine wines from 100% Nebbiolo grape. Barolo was recognised as an appellation in 1966, and was upgraded to DOCG status in 1980. Barolo wine reflects the excellent terrior in the region, with most vineyards located on steep hills, and a continental climated consisting of an long summer and autumn enabling the Nebbiolo grapes to ripen gradually.

Barolo remains a producer of stunning full reds that are magnificent to drink. Feel free to browse our selection of some of the best Barolo wine available.
