The Buil & Giné family started producing wines in the Priorat region of Spain in 1998 under the Gine Gine label. This was the rebirth of a family tradition spanning back to great-grand parents who been wine makers and merchants. The focus is on growing grapes and producing wine in each of the two areas of `Denominacions d'Origen' of the region,Priorat and Tarragona-Falset.

Since this time, the Gine adn Gine wines have grown from strength to strength.
