The Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve 75cl is pale straw in colour, with fine bubbles and persistent mousse. On the nose, it has aromas of mature stone fruit, flowers and white pears, leading onto a palate of fresh green fruit flavours, with toasted brioche and pastry, ending with a long, graceful finish. Best served as an aperitif.
The History of Billecart- Salmon
Billecart-Salmon is one of the few remaining Champagne houses to be owned by the original family. It was established in 1818 by Nicolas-François Billecart. Most of Champagne Billecart-Salmon's fruit comes from a small vineyard holding, although this is supplemented with grapes bought in from the Marne Valley and the Montagne de Reims. Meticulous production techniques, from the use of their own cultured yeast to its long, slow, cool fermentation, ensure that this is a consistently fine champagne.
Billecart Salmon Champagnes are very popular amongst our customers who want an excellent Brut or Rose champagnes from a traditional Champagne House with values focused on production rather than branding. Billecart Salmon UK offer a range of fine champagnes - with people sometimes mistakenly calling them Salmon Champagnes, or even Salmon Billecart - either way we don't care, these fine champagnes are firm favourites of our team!
